The Great Lakes Center for Youth Development is collaborating with the Upper Peninsula office of Sen. Carl Levin (D-MI) and others to offer a free workshop to help nonprofits learn more about federal funding resources. The Federal Funding Resources: Face to Face workshop will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2010. The workshop has been created to overview possible grant money available to U.P. organizations. The workshop will take place via Internet in five locations: Northern Michigan University’s Mead Auditorium in Marquette, Michigan Technological University’s Advanced Technology Development Complex in Houghton, Bay de Noc Community College’s Besse Center Theater in Escanaba, Gogebic Community College’s Solin Center for Business Education in Ironwood, and Lake Superior State University’s Kenneth J. Shouldice Library in Sault Ste. Marie. The workshop will include a complimentary continental breakfast at 8:30 a.m., followed by the presentation and panel discussion from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The registration deadline is April 30, 2010.
