U.P. Nonprofit Conference"Today's Challenges - Practical Approaches"
Upper Peninsula nonprofit organizations will get the chance to hear
from top experts in fundraising and the nonprofit community at the first
ever U.P. Nonprofit Conference. The conference will include keynote
speakers Dr. Tim Seiler, director of the
Fund Raising School at Indiana University, and Sam
Singh, president and CEO of the Michigan Nonprofit Association. Nonprofit leaders and staff from across the Upper Peninsula will gather in Marquette on Friday, October 7, 2005, for the U.P. Nonprofit Conference. Organized by Great Lakes Center for Youth Development and Michigan Nonprofit Association, the conference will provide valuable learning opportunities designed to help nonprofits fulfill their missions to serve U.P. communities and sustain the future of their organizations.

Lodging: A group-lodging rate is available for conference participants. We have reserved a block of rooms at a discounted rate of $59 per night (plus tax) for conference attendees who wish to stay at the Ramada Inn. The rate applies to October 5, 6, and 7, 2005. Please make reservations as soon as possible. The rooms will be released to the general public on September 15, 2005.
