Average Number of Assets1997 Marquette & Alger Student Survey Results
Our youth on average have only 17.4 of the 40 developmental assets. Only 7% of all students surveyed had 31-40 of the assets. Search institute promotes a goal of at least 31 assets for every youth. In Marquette and Alger Counties, 66% of youth surveyed have less than half of the 40 assets. The largest number of youth, 45%, fell into the range of 11-20 assets.
