Young People from Gogebic & Ontonagon Counties are
Invited to Nominate a Youth Builder
The Big Snow Country Healthy Communities/Healthy Youth
Organization would like to help youth in Gogebic and Ontonagon Counties
recognize the special adults in their lives. Young people can nominate
a supportive adult for the Youth Builder of the Month Award. Each month
one person will be chosen from the nominations and recognized in the
Ironwood Daily Globe.
What does a youth builder look like? A Youth Builders may be a teacher,
neighbor, coach, music instructor, mentor, church member, neighbor,
or relative who does one or more of the following:
- supports and accepts young people
- provides constructive/healthy activities for young people
- helps young people with education
- models or nurtures caring values
- helps youth to build life skills
Nominate a youth builder from your community by filling out the information
