GLCYD realizes how stretched educators are for time and resources, and we want to make their jobs easier while helping improve outcomes for students. To that end, we provide professional development to school staff by way of presentations and workshops tailored to suit individual schools’ needs on a variety of youth development topics including:
- Youth Asset building and the results of the Profiles of Student Life: Attitudes and Behaviors survey
- Connecting with youth through “sparks,” those activities and interests that truly engage kids to be their best. Discovering those sparks can help students express their personalities and make unique contributions to the world.
- Service learning and the online “Learning to Give” curriculum which includes more than 1,600 K-12 lesson plans aligned with Common Core and individual state standards.
